Variations:
• Top with a couple of marshmellows, and allow them to melt before drinking
• Add a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg, and a few drops of vanilla essence for a warming blend
• For an Aztec chili hot chocolate, add in a vanilla bean split lengthways, a cinnamon stick and a red chili split with seeds removed, to the simmering milk. Add chocolate, and steep for a few minutes once melted. Strain spices and serve.
• Ginger orange hot choc:
Blend the zest of 1/2 an orange and a teaspoon of chopped ginger with the chocolate, until fine. Stir into the simmering milk until all mixed through.
